Luc sur mer is a friendly resort of around 3000 residents called “les lutins” (“imps”). Its tourist vocation was born in the middle of the last century. It fought with Dieppe to have the title of first seaside resort of the English Channel. Panneau de Luc sur merLandscape

Opened on the sea in North, Luc lies on a regular plain with a low average altitude.

At the north east edge, the plain finishes into abrupt cliffs of a few meters high. A big part of these cliffs are classified for their geological characteristics.
At the west border, the area is overlooking the valley of the “brook of Luc.”

The highest point is located south of Luc at the “Mont Notre Dame”, 22 meters high!
All the shore is bordered by a promenade; a wharf made of wood (“la jetée des pécheurs”) lies perpendicular in the middle of that walk.

A sand beach 200 meters to 300 meters width then different kind of rocks being discovered at low tide are part of the maritime public area. Bottoms located east of the pier have interesting geological characteristics.
