The church St Quentin and its bell-tower
The bell-tower was built in the 12th century, with a church that was destroyed in 1877, after rivalry between the clergy and the town council of that time. The new church that you can admire now has been built at the same time as the old one was knocked down. In 1911 Monsieur Lécluse finished the frontage and the roughcast. The old roman tower was connected to the old building: one reached directly the nave. A cemetery cross, located a few steps backward, is dated of 1662.
The Chapel
The English destroyed the first building during the “100 years” war. Years later, l’abbé Vengeon (priest) decided to search funds in England to build a new chapel. After lot of hard time, he received the money and was able to make build the building we know on the rue de la Mer.
