La Maison de la Baleine : A whale museum
During the night of Jan 14th 1885, a whale weighing 40 tons and 19 meter length failed on the shore at the place in Luc s/mer called “la Brèche du moulin”. The maritime laboratory of Luc s/mer observed, carved it up and conserved it while thousands of visitors arrived by train at the station of Luc to see it.
Its skeleton is now placed in the Town-Hall Park attracting many visitors. To make the visit more cultural and funnier, a whale museum has been opened for everybody.
